Appointed under section 609 of the companies act, Registrar of Companies (ROC) approves the registration of various companies prevailing in various states and union territories in India. The primary function of ROC is the Incorporation of companies followed by a series of functions like change of company's name, change of financial year, company conversion from public to private and private to pubic and others.
